Shania Twain Dazzles in Las Vegas

If Elvis Presley were able to witness Shania Twain's recently opened Las Vegas stage show, he just might be tempted to leave the buiding for good. Shania: Still the One, which began its two-year run at Caesars Palace last week, is simply that dazzling.

While in town for tonight's American Country Awards (Dec. 10, 8 p.m. ET on FOX), Country Weekly attended a Saturday-evening performance by Shania, who left no doubt that she—and her famously "lost" voice—have returned. From a flying motorcycle to two horses (one black, one white), this was the epitome of the Vegas spectacle. Opening with "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!" while dressed in a skintight sparkly catsuit, Shania commanded the attention of a jubliiant crowd, which the superstar made a point of interacting with throughout the evening. On two occassions, she made her way into the audience and, during "Honey, I'm Home," even shared the microphone with fans so they could sing along.

The centerpiece, however, was an intimate campfire set piece—complete with simulated fire and the scent of burning wood—that featured Shania's sister Carrie-Ann Brown, as well as three members of the audience, one of them dressed in a handmade leopard-print cape similar to the one Shania sported in the "That Don't Impress Me Much" video. Such was the devotion of the fans assembled.

And Shania repaid that adoration in spades.
