eBay helps Canadians give back to their favourite charities with the launch of Giving Works

Shania Twain kicks off fundraising program with shoes worn at recent awards show

TORONTO, /CNW/ - eBay is giving Canadians the opportunity to give back with the launch of Giving Works, a program that connects Canadian buyers with the causes they care about most.

The program, which enables Canadians to make a difference, also gives nonprofit organizations an out-of-the-box solution for online fundraising. New blue and yellow Giving Works ribbons make it easy for nonprofit sellers and buyers to identify items that support a good cause. Autographed by the singer and worn during her now infamous slip and fall during the awards show, proceeds from the sale of the shoes will support Shania Kids Can, a program designed for kids who are having personal problems at home.
