5/14/13 Shania Back In Vegas! Shania's two-year residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace resumes tonight in Las Vegas! This is the third leg of her "Still The One" show and consists of 12 concerts May 14 - June 1. After this set of shows, Shania will not return to the stage

4/20/13 Shania's Debut Album - 20 Year Anniversary. 20 years ago today, April 20, 1993, Shania Twain's self-titled debut album was released in North America. Shortly before its release, Shania sang backing vocals for other Mercury artists, including Jeff Chance's 1992 album Walk Softly on the Bridges and Sammy Kershaw's 1993 album Haunted Heart. Shania Twain only reached No. 67 on Billboard's Country Albums Chart, but it gained positive reviews from
critics. The album failed to sell significant copies initially, although Twain's future success generated enough interest for the album to be certified platinum six years later by the RIAA, denoting sales of over 1 million. Shania Twain yielded three minor hit singles in the
United States with "What Made You Say That", "Dance With The One That Brought You" and "You Lay A Whole Lot Of Love On Me". The album was more successful in Europe, where Twain won Country Music Television Europe's "Rising Video Star of the Year" award.

It spent 18 weeks on the chart and climbed to a peak position of No. 55 on May 15, 1993, where it remained for two weeks. Billboard magazine reviewed the song as "sassy, buoyant, catchy, and supported by an alluring video." The music video for "What Made You Say That" was shot in Miami Beach, Florida and directed by Steven Goldmann. It was filmed on January 12, 1993 and released on February 5, 1993.

12/13/12 Goldcorp Develops The Future, Makes Donation For Shania's Shania Kids Can Program. From 93.1 Moose FM: Its an investment in the future of Timmins and lives. Goldcorp made a $10,000 donation to the Shania Kids Can program at the Schumacher Public School Thursday to help remodel their clubhouse. The clubhouse is a place where the kids can learn while having fun. Dominic Rizzuto, manager Human Resources Goldcorp says they have always been a supporter of education and youth in the community and this donation was a great way to support both of those at the same time. The money will be used to brighten the atmosphere in the room, located on a lower level of the school. Tracy Hautanen, operations manager of Shania Kids Can adds new benches, bean bags and the programs logo will be added. Hautanen also says Shania is very passionate about her program and is very much involved no matter where she is.

The scene with the white horse, in which she sings "You're Still the One," and the finale are epic. But there's work to be done, starting with low energy early on (after the aerial entry on a motorcycle), a too-long campfire scene and, at times, overdone video. Tighten it up and add more lighter moments.

According to "Canada AM"'s website, the interview will air Friday, November 30: The show-stopping entertainment of Las Vegas comes to CANADA AM all week with some of the biggest names changing the face of the entertainment capital of the world. From Las Vegas Review-Journal: Northbound and southbound traffic on Las Vegas Boulevard between Caesars Palace and Bellagio boulevards as well as eastbound and westbound trafffic on Flamingo Road at the Strip will be halted from 1:55 to 2:10 p.m. Wednesday for a media event to promote singer Shania Twain. Las Vegas police will divert motorists from that portion of the Strip until the event concludes. Individuals commuting in that vicinity around that time should use alternate routes. Twain will begin a run of performances at Caesars Palace in December.

Sushi And A Song. From CMT.com: Shania Twain was raised in a small town in
Canada. But that was 75 million albums ago. And now? "I think for the very first
time, I really feel like I belong here," she said of Nashville at a private
party at the uber hip Virago sushi restaurant last week. "And that might sound
a little bit weird, but when you come from a small town in Canada, it's not like
America needs any more talent. It has everything it needs. And so I always felt
like an outsider -- because I was." Twain said all that to make the point that
it's great to be back in Nashville. "At peak of my career, I was in such a
whirlwind that I was too tired to really enjoy what was happening. I was meeting
everybody, and it was all just whizzing by, and I didn't take it in. And now
I've been welcomed with open arms like never before, and it's just a really good
feeling. I love what I do, and I'm so glad I'm back doing it again." By "doing
it again," she means doing all the things country singers do. Starting with a

Shows At The Colosseum Closer To Reality? From Las Vegas Weekly: Turns out there's a lot more to just
rumor I reported last week about the possible run of Shania
Twain concerts at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Now I can reliably confirm
that there have been serious conversations and negotiations with Shania, her
business representatives and AEG, which produces the Caesars Palace shows. I
also can reveal that all parties want the deal to be finalized, and if the t's
get crossed and the i's get dotted, then we will see Shania here for a regular
series of engagements. That would mean one Canadian songbird filling in the
dates when another Canadian songbird -- Celine Dion -- is on vacation. "You
haven't been wrong so far with your exclusives about stars playing the
Colosseum, and you're not likely to be wrong on this one, either," I was told. -

Shania's wedding: Shania changed into a Vivienne Westwood cocktail dress for
dancing. They said the ring is actually a 4.8 carat Lorraine Schwartz ring.
Reception was a candlelight vegetarian meal on the beach, with a coconut cream
cake. 1st dance was to Michael Buble's "I'm Your Man". Shania later changed into
some Jimmy Choo shoes. They also mentioned the OWN news about Shania not being
able to sing in front of people anymore. They left it on a positive note, saying

Frederic Wedding Video Clip. From TMZ: Shania Twain didn't exactly have a shotgun wedding
yesterday in Puerto Rico ... but it sure was a pistol -- as in what the guards
were packing on the beach during the ceremony. A guy who lives near the mansion
where Twain tied the knot tells TMZ he stumbled upon the nuptials at the beach
... and was quickly shooed away by several armed security guards. In the video
you can see an a guard with a pistol tucked in his belt roaming back and forth
while the ceremony goes on behind him. We're told the security was so tight, if

Of "Why Not?" - Video Clip. The Oprah Winfrey Network launched today. The
first show on OWN was "Oprah's Guide To Own." They showed about 2 1/2 minutes of
clips from "Why Not?" which premieres in April. Shania was talking about losing
her ability to express herself, sing, and sing in front of people. She was
feeling more pressure from her career the bigger it got and the pressure to be
better and better all the time She was slowly losing her voice and confidence
while at the same time her marriage was slowly breaking down. One day she
learned her marriage was over and the next day she learned about the affair. She
lost her sense of honesty, trust, etc.. She wanted to go out on this "tour" to
talk to people who have been through big disappointments and emotional crisises
and just listen to what they had to say to help rebuild her life and career.
Then they showed Shania sky diving, rock climbing, horseback riding, visiting
her parents' graves and hanging out with Frederic. "Oprah's Guide To OWN"
